"The Ship: Murder Party is a first person shooter computer game using Valve Software's Source engine developed by Outerlight.
The game was released on July 11, 2006, on Steam with retail distribution in Europe and Australia in September, and April 10, 2007, for North America.
A playable concept for The Ship was released as a modification for the game Half-Life in 2004.
The game is set on a 1920s recreational cruise ship.
Each player is assigned a quarry, and the object is to murder him or her with nobody watching,
while at the same time watching out for,
and defending yourself against,
your own hunter."
I know, it might not be the most original game idea, but I like it.
The biggest reason I'd like to see this game being played is the multiplayer, because in fact I've never got to see how it really works in live action.
I've also seen several game modifications based on the same game idea, but several(actually all of them) of them have failed.
The main problem is, how could we get enough people for this?
Well, I don't really know, but I guess we should just ask around in chat for people to play with.
If multiplayer isn't possible because of lack of players available for it, then I think singleplayer would be fine.
"...Such needs are eating, drinking, sleeping, socialising, maintaining proper hygiene and using the bathroom. Some of the needs would cause impairment, such as lack of sleep would cause the player to fall asleep on the spot. Other needs could become fatal, such as thirst and hunger. If the player does not fulfill these needs, he or she will die, resulting in a loss of $1000. Needs are sated by going to restaurants, taking showers, talking with other players, etc. This forces players into situations where they are vulnerable to attack, and also attempts to prevent players from camping."
This is also one of the reasons why it would be interesting to see.
I'm sorry if it has already been tried or actually even done, I haven't really been arsed to search that well.
Oh yeah, as a boost, I'd count this as a late birthday request.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ship_(video_game)http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5736666/The_Ship_(FULL_with_Multiplayer)http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3514081/
I've tried none of the torrents above yet, and as you can see there's a lack of "support".
Although, the game is available on Steam, so it'd be nice if you'd buy the game because it's after all an indie game.
